Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a disease of the skin and mucous membranes characterized by loss of melanocyte function. Vitiligo can occur anywhere on the body, most often on the face, armpits, nipples, elbows, knees, shins, and areas that are subject to abrasion or frequent injury.

Vitiligo significantly affects the quality of life of patients – although it is an aesthetic problem – and its treatment is multidimensional. In summary, local and systemic treatments, phototherapy, laser and skin pigmentation products are administered.
